Seneca– John P. Vaught, Jr., 82, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at his home.

John was born December 30, 1939 in East Point, Georgia to Paul and Clara Mitchell Vaught. In 1965, he moved to Seneca, South Carolina where he took a job as an engineer with Jantzen Southern. In 1972, he went into the car business and for over 20 years he owned and operated Friendly Dodge. He was also in the apartment rental business for many years. For over 45 years he was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he especially enjoyed being an usher.

John is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Sandra Haley Vaught; his daughter, Alison Patricia Vaught of Seneca; his son, David John Vaught of Long Beach, CA; and one sister, Margaret Bush of Destin, Florida.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Vaught.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 am at Trinity Baptist Church with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
