Ora Harriet Scott Tatum died April 15, 2000 from aspiration complications of Multiple Sclerosis. Burial in Powder Springs, Cobb County, Georgia,

Ora S Tatum and WE Tatum Jr's ashes were co-mingled and 1/2 of the ashes are buried together at Midway Presbyterian Church in Powder Springs, GA. in the remaining 1/2 space in the LC Scott family plot. The other half were scattered in Glacier Bay, Alaska (the location that they were headed to when W.E. Tatum died from a heart attack in 1996.
