Patsy Ruth DeLye, 74, of East Point, GA passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015. She was born on July 8, 1940 to the late Flora Bess Duncan Rodgers and Manson Lacy Rodgers in Atlanta, GA. She was a graduate of Russell High School. She worked in Civil Service for 26 years in Finance and Accounting and also doing the Puerto Rican Army National Guard payroll. She was a lifelong resident of East Point and member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. DeLye, on July 11, 2004; one brother; and one sister. Patsy leaves behind a son, John S. DeLye II; and a daughter, Keturah DeLye North, both of Hampton, GA. She also leaves behind her loyal fur baby, "Cody" and feline companion, "Maggie Moo". A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015, in the chapel at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA with Rev. Darwin Caldwell officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to help pay for the final expenses.
