Robert (Robby) A. Robinson
Robert (Robby) A. Robinson, 66, of Tyrone passed away Monday, March 6, 2006 at his home after battling cancer. Robby had a strong work ethic and was admired by many. While still in college, Robby began work at Fulton National Bank and made banking his career for 44 years. His last position was a President and Chairman of the Board for United Community Bank in Fairburn. Robby had an intense love for the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and golfing with family and friends. Robby and his wife had two children together and lived in several states throughout the southeast. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marilyn Robinson of Tyrone; daughters and sons-in-law, Dina Robinson and Rick Dropp of Dallas; Stacy Robinson and Larry Walker of Rome; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Walter and Gwen Robinson of Molena; Lane and Melody Robinson of Rome; mother, Hazel S. Lee of Fayetteville; brother and sister-in-law, David C. and Marsha Lee of Cartersville; four grandchildren, David Robinson, Haley Robinson, Ryan Dropp and Delaney Dropp. Robby was an inspiration to many and loved by many more and will be greatly missed. He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 11 o'clock at Flat Creek Baptist Church with remains placed in-state at 10 o'clock. Dr. William O. (Bill) Priester and Dr. Jerry Cross officiating. Interment Camp Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers per Robby's request, donations to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, 1687 Tullie Circle, NE, Atlanta, GA 30329-2316.
